Dahana has once again become a vital destination for training participants from the Human Resources Development Center for Geology, Minerals, and Coal (PPSDM Geominerba) under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia. The participants of the Blasting Management Training in Mineral Resources Mining (Class I Blaster) Batch II for the 2025 fiscal year visited the Dahana Energetic Material Center (EMC) in Subang, West Java, on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
The group, accompanied by their field supervisor from PPSDM Geominerba, Donal R. Nainggolan, was warmly welcomed by Dewi Kurniaty, General Manager of K3LH at PT Dahana. Dewi gave an overview of the Company’s profile, history, business lines, and the developments that have positioned Dahana as a leading explosives company in Indonesia.
“We are pleased to welcome the visit from PPSDM Geominerba. Dahana’s EMC area is dedicated to being the most comprehensive integrated explosives research, development, and production center in Southeast Asia. We hope this visit will provide participants with a thorough understanding, blending theoretical knowledge with first-hand experience of the technology and its implementation in the field,” stated Ms Kurniaty.
Dahana plays a pivotal role in the explosives industry, catering to various sectors including general mining, quarrying and construction, oil and gas, and even military defense needs. All production, research, and development activities for its flagship products are centralized at the Energetic Material Center (EMC).
The EMC is a modern, integrated explosives industrial area, fully equipped with high-standard production facilities, quality testing laboratories, storage bunkers, and distribution infrastructure designed to ensure operational safety and security.
During the event, participants also received a presentation from Hendra Wahyudi, Detonator Production Operations Manager, who discussed the explosives, technology, and Total Explosive Solutions services provided by Dahana. They also had the opportunity to tour Dahana’s production facilities, including those for Elemented Detonators, Nonel, and Cartridge Emulsion (CE).
Mr Nainggolan expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and excellent facilities provided by Dahana. He encouraged participants to engage deeply with the material presented, emphasizing its significance in understanding the national explosives industry.
“PT Dahana is the mecca of Indonesian explosives. Each year, we schedule a visit here because it offers participants the chance to see first-hand and ask numerous questions about the innovations and technologies being developed. This knowledge is invaluable for applying in their respective project areas,” he remarked.
